ABOUT "MILES TO GO"

The Roots

This blog is the story of my time abroad in Scotland as I earned my Masters in creative writing. The title, "Miles to Go", comes from Robert Frost's poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening". The last stanza reads: "The woods are lovely, dark, and deep/but I have promises to keep/and miles to go before I sleep/and miles to go before I sleep." As I'm only in my twenties, I believe and hope that I have a long way to go before my work and my adventures are done. My tag line, "It sounds like you're ready for an adventure", is what my mom said to me when I finally worked up the courage to tell her I wanted to move abroad for school. Thanks, Mom - you're absolutely right.
